Different scraps of vintage Kantha quilt fabric are sewn to a backing of selvedge denim. Vertical wavy sewing lines on this bag are inspired by wind and waves. As the many thin layers of fabric wears thin with use (and it will) it will reveal different colors and finally the denim underneath, becoming something new. Bag is fully reversible, so if you’d like the denim and pockets on the exterior, just flip it inside out. Made from vintage Kantha quilt cut off remnants, Kantha (Bengali: কাঁথা; Hindi: कान्था), also spelled kanta or qanta, is a type of embroidery craft in Bangladesh and eastern regions of India, selvedge denim, hand cut and oil rubbed leather straps, copper rivets with hand cut washers.
